Don't forget to have your child bring in their beautifully decorated valentine's box or bag by Tuesday!

The Valentine's Day party is on February 14th from 9:30 to 10:15. This is our last party of the school year. How time flies! A class list and valentine box/bag info sheet was in  folders last Friday.

The students are really enjoying the Stallion Stampede Spirit Day each Wednesday, from the class t-shirt contest to the weekly videos. Be sure to ask them about it. Feel free to check out the weekly videos and all things Stallion Stampede at http://stallionstampede.org/videos.

Some of your kids will be doing Fastt Math, which is a computer program designed to help kids learn their math facts. We will not be doing this during class time, as this is a 3rd grade skill. For Fastt Math to be most effective, students need to do at least 4 sessions a week, one per day. Our tech lab opens at 7:45 every morning except Wednesday. On Wednesday, it is open after school until 3:45. Students should arrive by 7:50 if they want to do a session. As I have state earlier this year, 4th graders need to know the multiplication facts in order to be successful. We do have five computers in the pod, so I will be allowing students to do Fastt Math during extension when possible. Time and space is limited on these computers. Don't forget to keep practicing at home also! Thanks so much for your help.

 If you are interested in ordering Scholastic Books online, our class code is HGQ4B. You pay for online orders with a credit card and the books are delivered with the classroom orders. It does not matter to me if you send in orders to the classroom with cash or check, or if you order online. Please do whichever you prefer. :)

Our math and reading textbooks are available online at ThinkCentral. You can access this site through my website. Login is your child's lunch number and birth date (2 digit month, 2 digit day, and 4 digit year). The math book is HSP Math. The reading is Journeys.
