Math must always be done in PENCIL. If a student uses anything
besides pencil in math, points will be deducted fromt their grade.
Late work loses 10 points the first day and is 10 points off each day after
that for up to 3 days. On the 4th day, late work receives a grade of 0%.
Math work is assigned to provide extra needed practice. The student
will make up the assignment during recess. Math homework is
averaged in as a test grade at the end of the first two nine week grading
periods to encourage good work habits. If a student has his/her homework each
day, then he/she will receive a one hundred. Each time the student does not
have his/her homework, 5 points will be deducted from the test grade.
Students must always write the math problem and must show their
work for each problem. The work should be orderly and neat (skip lines
between problems, do not pre-number the paper).
Write a full heading (name and date) and title at the top of each paper.
Five points are deducted from the assignment grade if the paper does not
have a proper heading.
