RED RIBBON WEEK
October 24th - 28th, 2011
KISD will celebrate Red Ribbon Week
October 24th -28th, 2011. Red Ribbon Week is a drug awareness program within
KISD. The program reinforces drug awareness and the various implications of
drug abuse. Each day the students learn about the various implications of drug
abuse and a special focus is given to a topic. The students will celebrate
this week with a fun theme each day. A fun trinket is also given out to each
student each day. These trinkets are made possible through PTO. Stay in touch
as more information will be forth coming and watch for more news in our weekly
newsletter. Parade/Pep Rally Schedule for Friday, October 28th: K-2 (indoor
parade) 9:00-9:15; 3-5 (outdoor parade) 9:30-10:00. The 9:30am parade will go
up South Barkers Landing to the pool in Barkers Landing and turn around and
come back to school. The pep rally will be in the gym from 10:00am to 10:50am.
Red Ribbon WEEK THEMES
Monday – Oct. 24th - "Stay in
the Game" - wear your favorite sports team jersey.
Tuesday – Oct. 25th - "Backwards
Day" - wear your shirt backward or inside out.
Wednesday – Oct. 26th - "Peace
Out" - wear tie die.
Thursday – Oct. 27th - "Crazy Hat
Day" - wear your craziest or silliest hat.
Friday – Oct. 28th - "Wear Red" -
Rock your red Wolfe spirit shirt!! PARADE DAY!!!!!
