I hope everyone is enjoying this Christmas season! I was blessed to have my
Son and Daughter-in-law call us Christmas morning. It was the best gift ever
to hear their voices and to be able to talk to them.
We start back to school on January 5th and it is going to be a special week.
I am very much looking forward to our Epiphany Liturgy and our parties. I
can't think of a better way to start off the new year than with prayer and
celebration!
During the rest of January we are going to be working on learning about
different artists and their art styles. In Pre K-4 we will be looking at
works by Vincent Van Gogh,Jackson Pollock,Piet Mondrian, Andy Warhol and
others. We will also learning about primary, secondary and tertiary colors
and how light affects color. The art and artist unit is my absolute favorite
of the year and I can't wait to get started as I am amazed every year by the
things that the children absorb and discover about art! I hope everyone has
the Art Show on their calendars!
