Glen Martin teaches the required Pre-AP Computer Science course and the
optional AP Computer Science A, Computer Science II Dual Credit, and
Technology Applications Independent Study, courses.
He is certified to teach computer science and mathematics, is an AP Reader
(grades AP tests), is a College Board endorsed workshop consultant
(teaches other AP Teachers), and is a member of the AP Computer Science Test
Development Committee (writes AP Computer Science AP Examinations).
TAG's computer science program has been named the most successful small
school AP computer science program in the world by the College Board.
In 2011 Mr. Martin received the Aspirations in Computing Educator Award from
the National Center for Women and Information Technology (NCWIT).
He was named a finalist for the 2008 O'Donnell Texas AP Teacher Award.
He received a 2007 Texas Instruments Foundation Innovations in STEM (Science,
Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Teaching Award.
He was honored as the 2005-2006 Siemens AP Teacher of the Year for Texas.
In 2004-2005 he was the TAG Teacher of the year and a DISD Teacher of the
Year Semi-finalist.
