¿Qué hizimos hoy? (What did we do today?)

Students practiced “Cultivo una rosa blanca” --students will present this poem on Wed. 11/4

All classes watched the video—“El Día de los Muertos”

                       familia, ciclo de la vida, tradición, iglesias, Aztecas, bailan, ofrendas

NO AFTER SCHOOL TUTORING THIS WEEK DUE TO MEETINGS.
 

POSTED 11/4:

1st period received a pop quiz (11/3) over ser and ir (pres. & pret.) Students reviewed stem-changing verbs.

Discussed in Spanish “El Día de los Muertos” and its significance.

All classes practiced “Versos Sencillos” in preparation for presentations beginning today.

 

POSTED 11/11:  (El día de los veteranos)

Los siento alumnos, yo estuve muy enferma desde lunes pero me siento mejor.

¿Qué hacemos en la clase? (What are we doing in class?)

Students have been practicing the conjugations and the uses of the conjugations of ser, estar, and ir in the present and preterite tenses.

Students are also practicing stem-changing verbs and tener in the present tenses; in the preterite tense will be introduced next week.

Classes have been watching Destinos focusing on clothing.

Students had an exercise in the use of the Spanish-English Dictionary.

We talked today in Spanish about “el Día de los Veteranos” y el significado.

También---we also did a music exercise and collected the maps of Mexico

Spanish 2 students practiced TENER conjugation.

POSTED 11/16:

¡Hola alumnos de Español 2!

¿Qué hacemos en la clase? (What are we doing?)

1.     Last Friday students read readers from the libray in Spanish

2.    Today was grammar day---the classes reviewed and practiced “tener” conjugation and were introduced the preterite of tener.

3.    Students were given a translation exercise which reviewed stem-changing verbs and introduced new vocabulary.

Lastly, students were treated to a TPR lesson over tener with emphasis on dedos, pulgas, entre, tinta, otra vez, de nuevo, cosas y quehaceres
