martes, el 16 de septiembre, 2008---  (9/16)

Today we reviewed "¿Qué tiempo hace? y las estaciones".Classes will be receiving a pop quiz over survival expressions--BE READY!   All oral tests must be completed by the end of this week!

jueves, el 18 de septiembre, 2008---   9/18

Students practiced vocabulary, dar, and did a class assignment, and received una lectura to be discussed next Monday. Students were notified of their citizenship grades.

lunes, el 22 de septiembre, 2008---9/22

Students received conjugation of "hacer" and made a comparison with the conjugation of "dar"

Lección (short lesson warm up lesson) over "primer día de otoño". Estudiantes, hice un equivocado hoy.--Guys my source was wrong. The Equinox is tonight not last night. Lo siento.

Students had a reading exercise--"¿Qué tiempo hace?"

1st period 8th grade students--IOWA tests begin tomorrow -9/23. Don't forget pencils and calculator.

  lunes, el 29 de septiembre    (9/29)  

 Students received "una lectura" (a reading) over "los huracanes" along with a worksheet checking for comprehension of the assignment.  All classes received the announcements of the exam for Thursday over Survival Expressions. Test will be written and worth 20-24 points. Students were given short practice time over the vocabulary. Students are to turn in their lectura papers on Thursday. Students will continue writing in their "diarios" as they did last week.  

 martes, el 30 de septiembre  (9/30)

All classes received an immersion lesson on the Earth. The following words were emphasized---mundo, Tierra, océano, continentes, país (paises), capitales, estrellas, planetas.sol, y soles. The test date has been changed to Fri. Oct. 3.

Students received a verb chart.

 miércoles, el primer de octubre (10/1)

1st and 5th periods received a review paper over ajetivos y el mundo----All classes watched "¿Eres tu, María?" --purpose: To increase listening comprehension

 viernes, el 3 de octubre (10/3) 

All classes took the survival expressions exam. Students who were absent today will have the opportunity to take the exam, in class, the day they return to class.GRATIS--(para el examen)--  Contesta--->  "¿Qué día fue ayer?"

 lunes, el 6 de octubre (10/6)--

 Students had a listening comprehension exercise--la música and a translation sheet (el lunes, el martes, el domingo)
