Geometry Disclosure for Mrs. Reese
Description & Objective:
The major postulates and theorems of Euclidean geometry form the basis of
this course. Logical structures are investigated. Geometric constructions and
coordinate geometry are studied. Students should be able to investigate
geometry concepts using technology and paper/pencil then draw conclusions.
Trigonometry concepts are applied to appropriate geometry concepts.
Students will develop techniques and problem solving strategies to solve and
prove in a variety of situations. They will gain the ability to use
mathematics in today’s world and improve critical thinking skills. They will
learn to communicate both orally and in writing and benefit from on-going
review.
Materials & Equipment:
1” Binder Pencils and Colored pencils Scientific Calculator
Compass Protractor Ruler
Loose-leaf paper & 3 dividers
