3rd Homework

Reading: Check for the weekly book and project. In order to become a
proficient reader, your child needs to be reading each night! The short
activity should provide your child the opportunity to independently respond
to the literature that he/she has just read.

Spelling- Children will be bringing their spelling words home in baggies.
These words should be used each night to complete activites and study for
Thursday's spelling test. Words will be sorted into groups depending on the
skill of the week. Your child should become secure in reading, spelling,
and sorting their words!

Please refer you your child's spelling contract found in the spelling
section of their binder. This week we have colored in the activities with a
purple colored pencil.

Math: There will be homework Monday through Thursday. It will usually be a
worksheet or two. Tests will be given periodically throughout the grading
period. As long as your child participates in class they should do well on
the test as the test is geared for your child's developmental level.
