Although I was born outside of Glacier Park, Montana and grew up in
National Parks around the country, I have lived in Virginia for the past
thirty-five years. I completed my undergraduate work at The College of
William and Mary and received my masters from University of Richmond. Most
recently I have completed my gifted endorsement through the cohort program at
William and Mary.I have taught in Chesterfield County for twenty-eight years.
This is my seventh year at Bettie Weaver and I am thrilled to be here. My
greatest joy in the classroom is hearing a child say, "I want to know more
about that." My husband and I have two children. They both attended
Chesterfield County Schools from kindergarten through twelfth grade. Our son
is a junior at VCU and our daughter is a freshman at William and Mary.
I would be the most content if my [students] grew up to be the kind of people
who think decorating consists mostly of building enough bookshelves. - Anna

Our classroom is a place where students work to achieve high standards
both with academics and with the core values of accountability,
responsibility, honesty, and respect. We build on basic skills, challenge
ourselves to think, read often, ask a lot of questions, and pursue our goal of
becoming life long learners.
