Progress Reports went home today. Please encourage your student to correct
their behaviors and they will bring home a better report in the next
reportcard. They are responsible for their own actions.
The Valentine Party letter went home today. There is a list of all our names
on the reverse side. Please use this to complete your child's Valentines.
Please encourage your student to try and read everything they see -
environmental print --sound out the letters and see how close they get to the
actual words!
Also, we will begin stressing writing letters on the lines and appropriate
proportions.
Our class routines will be changing too...we are learning, learning, learning
to READ!
PLEASE NOTE: OUR LUNCH TIME is 12:00.
Parents and relatives are welcomed to come visit and/or eat with us anytime.
Just send me a note in the morning stating your intentions. Just know that we
can be loud and busy at Lunch time!!!
Students will no longer be allowed to bring and/or wear SILLY BANDS to
school. Please help us abide by these rules by NOT ALLOWING your child to
wear theirs to our school.
PARENTS OF LUNCHBOXERS: You might want to consider sending a paper plate
(folded up) in the lunchboxes, so the student can have somewhere "clean" to
place their food. The plate may also make it easier for clean up and carrying
trash to the can. Thanks!
Ice Cream is on Fridays unless we are having an Early Dismissal. There may be
other times that Ice Cream is not allowed to certain students that have not
controlled themselves with their behavior and attentiveness. Their ice cream
money will be saved until another time with improved behavior.
Library books need to be returned NO LATER than Thursday when we go to
Library for the week.
Students need to bring their Bookbags everyday and
Parents need to check them daily.
Please wear Tennis Shoes for P.E..
FITNESS CALENDARS need to be turned in at the end of the month with checked
off days of participation and a parent signature to be eligible for the
monthly drawing.
The Dress Code is located under Student Conduct - Section 10 Number 4 (page
42) in the Handbook. Girls are not allowed to wear spaghetti strap tops. They
can wear them with a t-shirt under it! Bus Rules are on Page 24 and
Attendance is on Page 37.
Girls may be more comfortable wearing shorts under their dresses for sitting
on the floor and playing outside.
