1st 6 weeks: Maps/Communities
2nd 6 weeks: Explorers: Christopher Columbus, Juan Ponce de Leon, Jacques Cartier, and Christopher Newport
3rd 6 weeks: Economics
4th 6 weeks: Ancient Civilizations (Greece, Mali, Rome)
5th 6 weeks: Famous Americans/Holidays
6th 6 weeks: Review for SOL’s
*There will be vocabulary quizzes every Wednesday. Students will be making vocabulary cards to help them review nightly.
*There will be a cumulative test at the end of each unit. Students will receive a study guide a week or more in advance. They will also have the opportunity to take home their interactive notebooks.
*There will be various projects for several of the units when time permits. Students will get the directions, rubric, and materials 3-4 weeks in advance of the due date.
