When do the Presidential Fitness Assessments begin for the 1st Semester???

Students, grades 2nd, 3rd and 4th, will begin the 1st series of 
fitness testing October 2011.

When will my child be acknowledged for his/ her National or Presidential Ratings on their test?

I will verbally let you child KNOW as soon as they meet the 
National or Presidential Standard. They will not receive thier 
certificate and patch, however, until the end of the year award 
ceremony. Each student will also receive a Fitness Report Card after completion testing.

Will my child's grade be affected if they DO NOT participate in P.E.; due to refusal or inappropriate dress?

Yes. Your child's grade will be reduced from a S (satisfactory) 
to a N (needs improvement) if he/she does not participate in gym 
2 or more days in a 6 wks. FYI-I notice will be sent home the 1st 
time your child does not participate to notify you.
