The 2008-09 school year marks 12 years for me at CMS! I currently live in
Salem with my family, including my husband Josh who is an Assistant Principal
at Hidden Valley High School in Roanoke, our two children Austin (7) and
Emmalynn (3), our Goldendoodle Bindi, and our cat K.C.
In my time away from school, I enjoy gardening, reading and being with my
family. I spend a lot of my free time running my children to their different
sports practices....soccer, lacrosse, and swimming are the current popular
favorites with my kids.
The coolest thing that I did this past summer? My husband and I went to the
Homestead Resort for a conference. During the time I was there, I took a
Falconry class. It was so cool to be able to hold a Falcon and a Hawk! If
you have a chance, ask me about feeding the hawk... too neat!
I am a Nationally Board Certified Career and Technical Education (CTE)
teacher . I am looking forward to continuing to strengthen my teaching as I
work with students and parents to increase communications within my classroom.
Parents are always welcome in my classroom.
