Why do I have a summer assignment?

Because this is a survey course, we have many topics to investigate. Our 30-
week schedule requires us to make efficient use of our time.

Will I hand in my homestudy weekly?

Yes,I want to see how you are doing. Each week you will hand in your
corrected homestudy so I can see if you are getting the material.

If I miss a class with a lab, what should I do?

If you miss class, you may schedule a make-up lab with me via e-mail for the
following week. I am available during the 4th class hours. Some labs
can be completed at home and won't require this.

Why are most tests for class given at home?

Although test taking is a valuable skill, I think our class time can be
better spent in learning the material and observing through labs.

Will we take Mid-term and Final exams?

Yes, it is important that you retain the information that you have learned.

then promptly forget it.

What about extra credit?

I will not rule out the possiblity of extra credit, however the students
track record will factor greatly in to this option. If a student is turning
in all thier work on time and really tying and is just a little short, I may
allow extra credit. However if a student is consistenly not turning in work
on time and has not diligently done thier work more than likely I would not
allow them extra credit - they should concentrate on getting the
required work done and done well.
