My name is Ruby Robertson Robinson. I am a native of Cumberland County. I am
a mother of a 21 year old and have been married for 34 years. I am now the
Media Specialist at Cumberland County Elementary School. I have taught in
Cumberland County for many years. It is a rewarding and challenging job. Some
of my goals are for the students to become lifelong learners by teaching the
students to effectively access, evaluate, use, and communicate information
for the 21st Century.
I also plan to provide appropriate materials and personal assistance which
will help produce lifelong learners who read for pleasure and for
information. My goal includes providing the latest audiovisual and technical
resources.
1. Follow rules and procedures in the media center.
2. Understand that books and other materials provide information.
3. Handle books and materials properly.
4. Respect copyright laws as they apply to print and electronic materials.
5. Master comprehension of stories by taking Accelerated Reader quizzes
after each story read.
6. Demonstrate how to maximize the Internet potential while protecting
themselves from potential abuse.
