What is the PTA

The Epes Elementary PTA is a self-governing group of parents, staff and volunteers that plans its programs and activities to meet the needs of students, parents, teachers, and the community. Each PTA  has its own characteristics, but the underlying purpose is the same-- promoting the education, safety, and welfare of children.

The Epes PTA plays an important role in ensuring that all of our students have access to an excellent education. Through its focus on academic achievement, a strong sense of community, parent involvement, parent education, and financial support for classroom materials, assemblies, art and music programming, etc., the PTA enriches our school and enables our children to become successful students and good citizens of our community.

By becoming a PTA member, you become part of  a community where every member is appreciated and valued. You also let your child see how much you value his or her education and that you want to be an important part of what goes on at Epes. It’s fun and rewarding for you and your child and provides a great way for you to make a difference!
