Should my child wear tennis shoes to school?

Yes. Tennis shoes should be worn for safety reasons. They also
make the playground and P.E. much more fun and comfortable.

Why does my child need a change of clothes?

This is Preschool, and anything can happen. It is always
convenient if there is an "accident" or spill, for
there to be a change of clothes available. Sometimes, socks even
have to be changed.

When does the actual school day begin?

The late bell rings at 8:45. Our play time and transition time
begins at 8:15 and ends with the late bell when we clean up the
toys. It is in the best interest of the child to arrive at
school between 8:15 and 8:30 to allow him/her to adjust to the
routine of the day. Often we have activities that begin soon
after the bell rings and it is difficult for a child to come
in the classroom and have to move directly to an activity. This
is especially true on chapel days (Wednesdays), class program
days, and field trips. Our school day ends at 12:00.

What about nap time?

Nap time begins after lunch. Your child should bring a cot-sized
blanket to school and not a regular-sized blanket. They may also
bring a small soft nap toy to sleep with. While they are not
required to sleep, they must be quiet on their cot while the rest
of the children sleep. Nap time is over at 3:00.
