Daily Schedule

Typical Classroom Routine:

8:10-8:45 : Kids come in the room, unpack, turn in homework, copy agenda, D.O.L, journal, and morning work.

Mon. /Wed .: agenda, D.O.L., morning sheet

Tues. /Thurs .: agenda, journal, morning sheet

Fri.: Reading vocab.

8:45-9:00 : Daily Speed Drill, Timed Test or Math Race and Morning Devotion and Prayer

        Tues. /Thurs .: Timed Test

        Wed. / Fri .: Math Race

9:00-11:45 : We discuss and complete all lessons for the morning. Students will have daily jobs in spelling, language, reading, and math. *In addition to regular class work tasks, there will also be 2 S.R.A.s and a writing activity or another weekly job due by Friday.  

        Mon. – 9:00- 9:55 Language, Spelling and Math

  9:55- 10:10   Snack

  10:15- 10:55 P.E.

  11:00- 11:40 Reading and finish math

        Tues. – 9:00- 10:00 Language, Spelling and Math

                  10:00- 10:20 Snack

   10:25- 11:15 Read/Discuss story

                  11:15- 11:40 Reading skills, finish math

        Wed. – 9:00- 10:00 Language, Spelling, and Math       

   10:00- 10:15 Snack

  10:15- 10:55 Reading and Weekly Jobs    

       11:00- 11:40 Spanish

Thurs . - 8:50- 9:45 Spelling/Dictation Tests, Language

   9:45- 10:00 Snack

   10:00- 11:00 Chapel   

    *11:00- 11:30 Chorus 1^st and 4^th Thurs. only

                   11:15- 11:40 Weekly math test /work

Fri . - 9:00- 9:55 Reading test and Independent work time

*Work is usually language, math, and looking up new vocabulary words (if not finished for morning work).

               9:55- 10:15 Snack

               10:15- 10:45 Library

               10:45- 11:40 Independent work time for weekly jobs

                            and to complete morning assignments.

11:45-12:15 : Lunch

12:20-12:30 : Story time

12:30-2:00 : Finish Work, Science or Social Studies/ Resources/

                        Writing
