*****Diorama Project-After our test Tuesday on Weather, we will begin
studying about "Earth and Space" in science (ch. 12). A diorama project has
been assigned that is due Mon. Feb. 13 The students may pick to either make
night and day for earth OR do the entire solar system.

A diorama is a three-dimensional miniature scene. Your child will need to use
an adult size shoebox for this project (cannot be larger than 14 inches in
length and 10 inches in height). This project is to be done BY YOUR CHILD.

In the past students have used things like styrofoam balls, paint, stickers,
planets bought from the teacher store, glitter glue or glow in the dark glue,
flash lights, playdoh, etc.

Encourage your child to get creative! I will have an example diorama to show
the class. Good luck and have fun!

Please do not send in dioramas before they are due!

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Field Trip RESCHEDULED-new date (Wednesday, October 26th).

It is hard to believe we are already into October! Students are working
hard. Make sure to keep reading every night, study for upcoming tests, and
practice flashcards. These tips will help with everyday assignments.

October book reports have been assigned. Your child checked out a new
chapter book from the library on Friday, September 30th. This month's report
is an AR book report. As soon as your child has read the book twice they can
take the AR test before they forget the information. The AR test grade IS
the book report grade.
