May I bring a water bottle each day to school?
Yes!! I encourage you to get your recommended amount of water for the day!
May I bring a bookbag with wheels?
No. You must have a doctor's note if one is needed.
May I bring magazines or toys to class?
No. You will have ample reading material to read in class.
You may bring special things to class on designated days.
May I have a soda or tea at lunch?
No. Please stick to milk, juice, or water.
May siblings attend field trips or come to my class parties?
Siblings may NOT attend field trips. We usually have a predetermined number
of tickets/ seats. This is a special day for you, so Mom or Dad needs to
make other arrangements for your brother(s) or sister(s). I would also
prefer that your siblings not attend our classroom parties. If they do
attend, they should not expect to receive snacks, juice,or party favors as
we have planned only for the children in our classroom only.
If I forget my homework, may I come back to get it?
No. Before you leave the classroom, double- check that you have all supplies
needed for the homework assignments.
Do we ever have buddy- lunch?
Yes! If the class has had a good working day, the class will earn the
privilege of a buddy- lunch.
Will we ever eat lunch with Mrs. Wiggins's class?
Yes! We like to get together for lunch occasionally. It is another privilege
you can earn.
Do you give out homework passes?
Yes! You can earn homework passes a variety of ways.
Will we have recess every day?
Usually we will have 20-30 minutes of recess each day. :-)
May I pay with cash for a book order or field trip?
You need to pay by check or cash for the book orders, and you may send in
the EXACT AMOUNT of cash or pay by check for the field trip.
When is show and tell?
Show and tell days will be designated days, and your children will write it
in their agenda.Although show and tell is fun, we cannot afford the time to
have show and tell every day. Please explain this to your children and do
not allow them to bring items to school unless it is a PLANNED SHOW AND TELL
DAY. Thank you!!
What is the best way to contact the teacher?
If it is really critical, please send in a note. If it is important, but not
critical,you may e-mail me at JenStook@cox.net. Be aware that this is my
HOME address, so if you e-mail me during the day, I may not get it until
that evening. You may also call the school. Our great office staff will be
happy to take a message for you! You can also leave me a voicemail on my
classroom phone- I just might not get it until the next day.
