On Thursdays students usually take their spelling list and dictation tests. They will have three sentences each week. Each word missed on the spelling list test is 5 points off. There will be a bonus word given each week. The word will come from the challenge list. If a child misses a word but gets the bonus word correct, it will take the place of the missed list word. There will be no penalty for trying the bonus word and missing it. If your child makes a 100% on the list test and gets the bonus word correct, 2 points will be added to your child’s final score. Each mistake on the dictation test will be 3 points off. Spelling words are in your child's binder.
