What will my child do in Science Lab?
Your child will have Science in their classroom as well as Science Lab as a resource. Quite often, Science Lab will be a "hands on" experience with various themes being explored throughout the school year. At times, Science Lab will be a supplement to the material being taught in the classroom. At other times, we will be learning about a completely different topic.Back to Top

What is Shoe Box Science?
The Shoe Box Science Center is a center in the Lab where we would like to display things that the children have brought in to share with their class as well as with the other classes. Any item of scientific interest may be brought in on your child's Science Lab day in a shoe box labeled with your child's name and his/her teacher's name. If possible, please include a bit of information about the item - what it is, where it was found, etc. We will discuss the item in class and put it on display for a period of time to be enjoyed by others. The item WILL be returned, but please be aware that anything sent in will most likely be handled by the other children. If there is something that you are concerned about, please send in a note with your child, and we can send the item home with your child the same day.Back to Top
