My name is Sarita Cole and I have been teaching for a total of 25 years. I
have been at John B. Dey for 15 years and I have been teaching second grade
for 9 years. I am from Pennsylvania and I moved to Virginia to obtain my
undergraduate degree in Elementary Education. After completing my schooling
in Virginia I moved to San Diego, California. While teaching third grade, I
obtained my master's degree in Learning Handicaps. I am married with two
children. I have a daughter who just graduated from college and I
have a son who is 14 years old and he is entering the ninth grade. My
husband is a high school educator who teaches biology. My passion is
educating children and guiding each child to their highest potential. My
desire is for each child to leave the school day happy and filled with
knowledge.
My mission is for your child to have a positive learning experience in
second grade! In order for this to happen, I look forward to being a team
player with you and your child. Our class is like a family, and want you and
most importantly your child to know this is a safe place for them to learn
and experience great new things.
