Each AP Environmental Science student is required to complete ten community
service hours each semester. They maybe completed during the summer or each
semester. They should be geared towards the environment such as volunteering
to help; Check out the APES Links for some websites like the
following...The Chesapeake Bay Foundation, Elisabeth River Project or
others. Hours may be earned over the summer. Hours
should be logged as when, where, what did you do, and a contact person
should be included.
Service hours are handed in at the end of each semester.

ABOUT VOLUNTEER HAMPTON ROADS
VOLUNTEER Hampton Roads is the nonprofit resource center for South
Hampton Roads. As a member of the Points of Light Foundation and the
National Network of Volunteer Centers, we work locally with over 500
nonprofits to identify community needs and mobilize the resources to meet
those needs. We serve area nonprofits by connecting people with
opportunities to serve, building the community¡¦s capacity for effective
nonprofit management, promoting the benefits of volunteering, and
participating in strategic initiatives that mobilize volunteers.

VOLUNTEER Hampton Roads¡¦ programs and services are designed to
accomplish the following goals:

meaningful volunteer service.
