More About Me:

I am a 1997 graduate of Nottoway High School and a 2001 graduate of
Longwood University where I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Physics
with a Minor in Mathematics.

I began my career as an educator in January of 2001 when I was hired as a
teacher assistant and after-school SOL remediation tutor for Burkeville
Elementary School and also at Nottoway High School. The following school
year, I returned to Nottoway High School as a full-time math teacher and
taught here for 6 years. In 2007, my family and I relocated to Hampton, VA,
where I continued my career as a math teacher at Heritage High School located
in Newport News, VA. During that year, my father suffered a massive heart
attack and not soon after my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer, which
prompted my return to Nottoway County. In January 2009, I returned to the
faculty of Nottoway High School.

Aside from teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family. I am a mother of
2 beautiful boys, Sanjé (4) and Kai'Ron (2) - yes! Boys can be
beautiful!

Music is my secret passion. I love listening to music, mostly R&B and
Gospel, and I love to sing. I also enjoy reading, going out to eat, and
playing on the net.
