Happy 2010!!!!!! I hope everyone had a fun, safe, and relaxing holiday
season! I know everyone is eager to get back to school! We will have our
3rd Six weeks benchmark test on Thursday morning. Please encourage your
child to do their very best on this test! It is a good indicator of weak
areas.
Congrats to my homeroom for winning the door decorating contest for the 5th
grade! We had a great team effort in getting the door decorated! Way to go,
guys!!!!!!!
In January, I start SOL Review on a daily basis. We will no longer be
completing facts practice pages. We will spend a few minutes at the
beginning of each class reviewing a key strand. You may notice that your
child has a few more math problems than normal. I wanted to make you aware
of what would be going on in class.
Please encourage your child to be prepared for class. I expect that all
students want to learn, and be successful! It is important to talk with your
child about being successful in class, in order to become successful in life!
Thank you for your continued support, and I wish you a Happy New Year!!!!
