November 2nd - 6th
This is an activity week and both 5th and 6th grade will be working hard
to improve their physical fitness scores from the first six weeks of school.
So far the students have done a super job. I can really tell they've been
practicing. We are working on curl ups: to measure abdominal strength, pull
ups, push ups, or flex arm hang: to measure upper body strength and
endurance, and sit and reach: to measure flexibility of lower back and
hamstrings.
Some of our sixth graders are busy in the afternoon trying out for middle
school basketball. Good luck to all of you!
Next week will be a health week and we will be continuing our discussion
on body systems.
