How often will my child have homework?

About 10 times per six week grading period.  This averages out to about 
twice a week.

How do you determine grades?

Notebook average, homework average, lab activities, and daily work average 
all count as test grades. All test grades averaged together gives the
overall grade.

How often should I hear from the teachers?

Progress reports and report cards go home every three weeks.

How can I set up a meeting with you?

The fastest way is to call our school guidance counselor, Mrs. Reid, who can 
set up a meeting for you. The school number is 292-5375.

Why did my child have lunch detention?

There are three main reasons why students receive lunch detention.  A: not 
completing homework assignments, B: not bringing supplies to class, C:
tardiness (coming to class late).

Why does the science textbook stay at the house?

I have a classroom set of books to use during the school day.  Your child 
has been issued a textbook that can remain at home all year, to use for
homework.
