What is Cyberscience?
Paul VI Catholic High School introduces a new series of
Cyberscience (hybrid, online science) courses. The courses are
advanced level semester electives, consisting of a self paced,
online course, coupled with bimonthly afternoon laboratory
sessions at PVI. This format requires a highly motivated,
organized student capable of independent work.
Who can participate?
Cyberscience courses are open to PVI students as well as students
from other high schools that satisfy the course requirements.
Prerequisites: Biology, Chemistry. Students must have internet
access.
When and where is the class?
Lecture occurs when and where the student's schedule permits.
Students may work on the course during a standard studyhall or
after school.
Labs take place at PVI every two weeks. Students may complete
the lab activity anytime between 2:00 and 6:00 PM.
How will tests and quizzes work?
Assessments will take occur in several ways. Un-proctored quizzes
are available via the course website. Proctored tests are
available at PVI and at remote sites with a prior arrangement.

•Lecture Checkpoint Quizzes (approx. 16, un-proctored)
•Pre-lab Quizzes (approx. 8, timed, un-proctored)
•Lab Reports (approx. 8, electronic submission)
•Chapter Tests (approx. 8, remote/ proctored)
