Announcements Succeeding in Chemistry 1. Keep up!!! 2. Read the chapter before it is covered in class. Scan the chapter, illustrations, tables, and summaries containing relevant information. Read for content. Science texts are not novels!! After a chapter test, the next chapter should be read within two days and 3. Learn the language: memorize/understand vocabulary, background material, and chapter notes.students should have having a working knowledge of the vocabulary. 4. Reread the material as we cover it in class and continue solving problems. 5. Become proficient in calculations and problem solving. Work the sample problems in the textbook and check answers in the solutions manual. 6. Ask questions and get help if needed. 7. Take advantage of all "effort" points (homework, labs, extra credit). 8. Study with others if it helps; but, choose study partners who are serious about learning. 9.
