Mission
All of us want to get that "5" on the AP exam or an "A" for the course - and I will do my best to quide you towards those goals. However, my primary goal is to nuture, expand or instill in you a love of curiousity about the world within which we live. Curiosity is what drives almost all aspects of our existence; from science to history to art to religion -- all of these disciplines require us to be curious in order to achieve the level of understanding we desire. I hope you walk out of my class with a willingness to use the tools God and scoiety have given you to not just be content with "learning" what has been taught to you but to push deeper in topics that interest you and are of importance to the world you live in. If we all simply "believed what was in front of us" we'd still believe the world was flat. Read everything you can and question it in a mature and analytical manner. Take what is read, add in your own explorations on that topic and make your "new" conclusions. Your conclusion may be the same or diffrent than what you orginally began with but it is now "YOUR" conclusion! So my goal is for you to walk out of my class and into the world with a healthy curiousity for the world we all live in today as well as the world you will live in when you children are in the very same seat you are currently sitting in!!!
