Attention parents of 7th and 8th grade students--
The ACE and DeSales teachers cordially invite you to
the PVI Open House Sunday, November 6 from 1:00 to 4:00 P.M.
Now is a good time to clean out your locker, your back-pack, your home work-
space.....Bring innew supplies if you are running low: pencils, pens, paper,
notebooks....
A dozen study tips as we begin the 2nd quarter.
1. Start your day with a good breakfast--it's brain food!
2. Put your name in all your texts, notebooks, bags, and clothes.
3. Color code or label all notebooks for easy retrieval from your locker.
4. Organize your locker: buy a shelf. Don't share.
5. Put a copy of your schedule in your locker and in your planner.
6. Organize your study space at home. Have necessary supplies at hand.
7. Copy all assignments in your planner--check them off as you complete them.
8. POWER DOWN when doing homework.
9. Concentrate...work for 20 minutes, take a quick brain break and work for
twenty more.......continue.
10. Complete all homework at home, pack it up, and place it by the door.
11. Review a little bit every night. If you study by the inch, it's a cinch.
If you study by the yard, it will be hard.
12. Get enough sleep! The brain needs sleep to lock material in your memory.
