Wednesday

By the end of day on Thursday you will have submitted a revised short story if you have already written one or a rough draft if you have not written one. You will also submit and web for your ideas on your end of year research paper.

1. Write or revise short story. If you are revising a previous story you do not need a computer to work on this.

DUE DAY!

1. Written summary of self-selected reading choice.

2. Finish Pay it Forward , If time permits you will be given a short quiz on the movie today, if not then expect the quiz next week.

3. Blog: After watching the movie and seeing the “make the world a better place” project that the main character designed, what are your thought on how we can either improve our community, county, state, or country? (minimum 250 words)

Drawing 1Activity One

1.        Draw four straight lines from one edge of your paper to the other.

2.        Draw two more straight lines from one edge of your paper to the other only this time, make the lines cross over the lines you have already drawn.

3.        Draw five circles - any size - anywhere on your paper.

4.        Draw two curved lines beginning at the edge of the paper and ending up somewhere in the middle of the paper.

5.        Fill in three of the five circles.

6.        Fill in four areas of your paper however you would like. Make sure to sign your work. The work will be put on display in the classroom and a discussion will take place.

2. Writing: Cover letter for selected job of choice from newspaper. Post your cover letter to your blog also, upload this into your portfolio folder in DropBox along with a copy of the job post selected.

3. If you do not have a resume in your portfolio folder then you need to use the template (located in your English folder in DropBox) and make one then upload it to DropBox in the portfolio folder.

4. Math mini lesson & Geometry WS handouts (2) (line seg. & corresponding angles)

5. Classwork: read chapters 41-50 for The Da Vinci Code and the corresponding double entry journals.

1. Classwork: Make a book of RAK (random acts of kindness) from stories found on the internet. Each student will find one; write a summary and a reflection (2 paragraphs total). MLA citation.
