Homework (as with all math) must be completed in pencil.
Students are required to complete math homework on looseleaf. They must have
a proper heading on the top right hand corner of their paper.
"Their Name"
Algebra 8 or Algebra 7 (depending on their grade level)
"The Assignment" (i.e. page 536 WE 1 - 15 odd only: this can be on two lines)
All homework problems should be attempted.
All work MUST be shown. If a problem is handed in with no work, it will be
marked wrong. I am less concerned with an answer and more concerned with an
understanding of the process and algebraic relationships.
Students will be assigned problems that have answers posted in the back of
the book. It is expected that after a student does a problem, he/she will
check for correctness and attempt to locate their mistake if the problem is
wrong. This takes more time than just completing the homework. This process
will be explained to the students early in the school year.
