Taking the Mystery out of Math

I've always looked at math problems as a puzzle or challenge and hope to
light an enthusiasm for my students, based on those same thoughts. There is
no doubt that as eighth graders in an algebra class, my students have worked
very hard and achieved a high degree of success in mathematics and reading.
I'm excited about working with each and every student, as I am excited about
all the changes in our middle school.

I have tutored Algebra and Geometry extensively. To a lesser extent, I have
also tutored higher math including Algebra II, Trigonometry, and Calculus.
Prior to teaching, my initial bachelor's degree was in engineering and I
worked in that field for quite a few years prior to getting my teaching
credentials. I have subsequently attended Marymount University and achieved a
Masters Degree in Catholic School Leadership.

It is a personal goal that with the assistance of Mrs. Ostrander and Mr.
Raveia, we can continue to strengthen the math program at St. Timothy School
and provide an excellent background for our students as they move on to high
school.

Our Mission

is to spread the Word of God while providing for the spiritual, academic,
physical, social and emotional growth of our students.
