6th & 7th Grade Grammar and Spelling

6th grade Grammar: We are studying VERBS -- It's what you DO!!

[Remember: Surprise pop quizzes are always a possibility, esp. if we're studying something like transitive, intransitive, and linking verbs!]

Here's something that can help you ~

Transitive, Intransitive, and Linking Verbs

7th grade Grammar: The 7th graders are reviewing grammar rules for adjectives. These rules can be found in their textbooks and workbooks. However, I will periodically offer helpful links and documents to assist in preparing for tests.

The next Spelling Test for 6th & 7th graders
will be on Unit 11.

It will be given on Friday, December 4.

Homework is due on Thursday, December 3.

STUDENTS IN BOTH THE 6TH & 7TH GRADES may take a Pretest at home and turn it in the day of the test. All Pretests must be SIGNED by a parent to receive Extra Credit.

6th Grade Spelling: There are 20 regular words, five review words, and five challenge words. For the first half of the year, 6th grade students will be responsible for learning ONLY the 20 regular words. Homework involving the review and challenge words will be assigned. All homework is due the day before the test when we will check for accuracy. Tests are EVERY FRIDAY directly after Mass.

7th Grade Spelling: I will be reviewing homework for 7th grade Spelling. Tests will be given EVERY FRIDAY directly after Mass in the students' respective homerooms. Students will be responsible for learning ALL 20 Regular words PLUS the five REVIEW words. The challenge words may be used as Extra Credit on the test.
