21st Century learners are digital natives: they have grown up
surrounded by electronic pathways that they may not understand, but they will
fearlessly attempt. The modern school library needs to present and explain
appropriate choices in both print and online sources, so that students will
know how to access, evaluate, and apply these choices to their educational
needs. Students at Saint Timothy School will learn that a library is no
longer confined to a brick-and-mortar building, but includes vast resources
available through online databases.
It is also the goal of our library to help every student discover books,
authors, and/or subjects that he or she finds stimulating and exciting, thus
encouraging a love of reading for pleasure at all ages.
