Almost summer greetings!!
We are working hard to finish up the school year! Please remind your students, as I have, that school goes through June 8th, with Monday, June 11th being the class party and Tuesday, June 12th as Move Up Day. We all must hold it together and follow the rules until then! Thank you for your help!
I have asked the students again for any loose change to support a couple of causes. First, I am running the Race for the Cure as a member of a team. The team captain is a woman from my husband's work who at 26 was diagnosed just one week after starting work at Hyatt. She has the first of two surgeries coming up and we are all praying. Second, I am participating in the Autism Speaks Triathlon on Sunday, June 3rd. As an educator and having taught children who are on the Autism spectrum it is becoming more and more urgent for research to treat and cure these children. When I first started this event, 1 out of every 155 children were diagnosed in this spectrum. Research is now saying 1 out of every 88. It is a significant increase in only 8 years.
Thank you for all your support you have given me and your students over the year and as we push to the final days!!
