I am a career switcher coming from several fields. I obtained my B.A. from
Virginia Wesleyan College in 1990 and pursued a career in the psychiatric
field. After several years of feeling a need to become adventurous, I went
into law enforcement. I worked as a Deputy Sheriff in 2 different cities
for 7 years and participated with a forensic team for a year. I had a
daughter in 2002 and decided that I needed to change my direction and I
chose this wonderful field of teaching. I achieved my M.A. in Teaching in
2004 and have been teaching ever since. This journey has completed my life
in such a fabulous way. Even though we have our trials and tribulations in
our class, this is where I know I truly belong. I am energetic, humurous,
highly motivated and dedicated to each of my student's education as well as
to my daughter and son. My student's have taught me many more life lessons
than I could have ever imagined.
