Personal Bio for Sue F. Davis:
Sue, a native of Virginia Beach, has been at Trantwood since the 2006-07
school year. Previously, she taught at Point O’ View Elementary from 1998 -
2006. While at POV, she served two years as Grade Level Chairman and was
Tagged by the Superintendent for excellence in teaching. Recently, she
served on the Curriculum and Textbook Selection Committee, various All-City
Chorus committees, and is a member of VBEA and VMEA. In 2001, she was
employed by ODU as the instructor for “Materials and Methods of Elementary
Music” and supervised practicum students. She holds a Bachelor of Science
in Music Performance from Trevecca Nazarene College and a Master of Science
in Secondary Education degree from Old Dominion University. She regularly
serves as an adjudicator and has served as the Music Director of a
Kempsville church for many years. She is the immediate past Chairman of the
Board of Governors of the Francis Land House and is a former Assistant Vice
President of Bank of America where she was a branch manager and business
lender.
A resident of Great Neck Point, George and Sue love time spent with their
family – especially their grandchildren!
My goal is to teach the fundamentals of music to students to facilitate a
means of self-expression for a lifetime of musical enjoyment.
