About the Teacher

Natalie Bruzzi

I grew up on a dairy farm in Swanton, Vermont with my parents and younger sister, Amber. While I
was growing up, I loved working on the farm, playing sports with my cousins, and going to school. I
used to play school at home with my sister, and knew from a very early age that I would be a teacher
when I "grew up". I played field hockey, ice hockey, softball, and golf throughout high school, and I
have always been a huge sports fan.
I graduated from MVU in 1999 and then attended Champlain College for the next four years. I was
lucky enough to land a teaching job right out of college; I was the kindergarten teacher in Berkshire.
The following year, I became the Montgomery kindergarten teacher. I taught kindergarten for three
years, and then moved to second grade. This is my eighth year teaching and I have enjoyed every
minute of the last eight years. I love working in a small town and getting to know the children and
families.

I live in Sheldon with my husband, three children, and our dog. My husband, John, is a state
trooper, and we have been married for four years now. Our oldest son, Luke, just turned three.
Gabriella (Ella) and Gavin turned one last July. You could say our life is a little crazy at times! We live in
the woods on a private road and enjoy the rail trail that passes in front of us.
I really enjoy reading, gardening, baking, and scrapbooking. I love the Patriots, Red Sox, and
Bruins, but am not a basketball fan. Life right now is wonderful for me. :)
