Students are expected to read everyday; 20 minutes is good, 25 minutes is
better, 30 minutes or more makes the best difference! Students should
complete a weekly reading log and turn it in with a parent signature on
Fridays.
If a student works on ALEKS at school he/she should work on it at home
using the same password and user ID. Talk to Miss Maples about this.
Spelling homework varies between the three 5th grade teachers.
Basically, students have spelling homework Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and
Thursday and are expected to turn it in each day; but certainly by Friday.
When a student is not turning in homework, recess will be used to catch
up with missing work.
