Welcome!

Welcome to our school! Our mission is to educate the whole child. We believe that all children can excel at academics, and that activities and citizenship are just as important. Our students know that we have high expectations for them, and they strive to meet them. We welcome involvement from parents and the community. Please stop by and find out how you can become part of our Hillside community of learners!

Dear Hillside Community,

I would like to thank all those students that participated in the Hillside Science Fair. This year we had approximately sixty-five student projects. I was very impressed with the quality of the projects and the knowledge that students had when they spoke to the judges. This year we had JROTC student judges as well as staff members.

The PTA did a great job with Read Across America Week and Dr. Suess’s birthday celebration. There were daily events as well as Snuggle up and Read night with parents. We had a great turn-out to the event and every student left with a book.

Please be sure to continue to send your students to school with coats as our weather has been very unpredictable and we are running short of coats to loan out for recess.

Sincerely,

David Young
Hillside Principal
