Mrs. Grabenkort is thrilled about the opportunity to teach both fourth and
fifth graders AGAIN next year at JDZ! She taught a 4/5 blend for the last
two yeasrs at JDZ, and before that taught sixth grade at JDZ after moving to
the area in August, 2005 from Chicago, Illinois, where she taught sixth
grade and fourth grade at Walt Disney Magnet School. Mrs. G earned a
bachelor's degree in Education from Valparaiso University and a master's
degree in School Leadership and Administration from Concordia University.
During the 2008-09 school year Mrs. G will be persuing National Board
Certification in Teaching.
Outside of school Mrs. Grabenkort is an avid reader, enjoys running with her
dogs, training for triathlons, cooking, pilates, backpacking, hiking, rock
climbing, eating healthy meals (and chocolate), and working in her gardens.
