support our school when you participate in PTA sponsored fundraising
activities. These events generally provide constructive activities for kids
and families and provide funding for the programs of Jason Lee PTA. Follow

e-Scrip
― By registering as a Jason Lee
Elementary PTA supporter a portion of your shopping dollars will provide
funding for the PTA programs to benefit the kids. It’s easy! Just follow the
hyperlink to e-scrip supporter
registration. Search on "Jason Lee Elementary." Enter the appropriate
personal information and your Safeway and/or Yokes member card number. Then
every time you shop a portion of the amount spent will go to Jason Lee PTA.

Jog-A-Thon
– Each year Jason Lee PTA sponsors a major fundraising event. In the past we
have done catalog sales, candy bar sales and the like. Based on last year’s
success we will again be doing a jog-a-thon. In advance of the event, the
kids obtain pledges from family, friends, and neighbors. On the date of the
event, the kids run, jog, or walk and their distances are measured. Following
the event the kids collect the pledges based on their distances. Proceeds
from the jog-a-thon provide funding for the current year’s focus area. Visit

Fun Friday
– The first Friday of each month, PTA offers candy and other snacks to the
students after school for 25 cents each. Fun Friday is very popular with the

Skate Night
– Each month the Rollarena Skating Center hosts Jason Lee students for a skate
party. One dollar of the admission price is returned to PTA. The class with
the highest participation receives a slice of pizza and a small drink,

Movie Night
– A few times each year Jason Lee PTA sponsors a movie night at the school.
PTA selects newer releases that should appeal to the kids. The movie plays on
the big screen and provides a lower cost alternative to the high priced
theaters. Don’t worry; PTA purchases the license to show the movies legally.
Popcorn, candy, and drinks are also available at reasonable prices. [Return

Albertsons
Rebate Program – Albertsons supports Jason Lee PTA by offering
rebates on amounts shoppers spend when they register in the Community
Partners Program. Follow the hyperlink to learn more and register to use

Book Fair –
Jason Lee PTA typically sponsors two book fair events each year. Net proceeds
from these events are used to obtain new books to supplement school library
and/or reading room. These events promote reading and provide resources for

Cougar Clothing
– PTA purchases and resells T-shirts and Sweatshirts featuring Jason Lee’s
Cougar Mascot. Each week the school holds a spirit competition to see which
class has the most students wearing their Jason Lee colors (the colors from
the old Jason Lee count). To order a T-shirt, print this order

Box Tops for Education
– Jason Lee PTA participates in Box
Tops for Education by providing for the collection of box tops and sending
them to General Mills for redemption. Follow the hyperlink and find out how

Labels for Education

turn them in to earn free supplies for our school! You can also sign up

Button Lady
– The Button Lady appears at various PTA sponsored events and provides
supplies for kids to design their own pin-on buttons. The cost is always one
dollar and kids have a great time creating their own unique buttons. [Return

Individual & Class
Pictures – Jason Lee PTA contracts with a photographer to come to
the school in the fall and take individual pictures of the students. In the
early spring the photographer comes to the school to take class pictures. The
photos are offered at reasonable prices and PTA receives a portion of the
proceeds to reinvest in the kids. [Return to Top]
Carnival & Silent
Auction – Another tradition at Jason Lee is the Carnival and
Silent Auction provided by Jason Lee PTA. The Cougar Gymnasium is turned into
a midway with many games to play. Outdoor activities are also provided and
have in the past included dunk tanks and bounce houses. The silent auction
provides parents with the opportunity to do a bit of shopping while the kids
play the midway games. Local businesses and individuals donate items for
