MATH

No homwork today.  Friday Quiz returned today and discussed.  MANY students need to review how to turn a fraction into a decimal.
See sample below:

1/2

Divide the numerator (top)
by the denominator (bottom)
so you have 1 divided by 2.  Add zeros until the number ends evenly or is a repeating number.  So 1/2 = 0.5.

3/8 would equal 0. 375

Many students are memorizing the common fractions to decimals.  We have listed these in our Math Journals.

Students should review these every day!  We will have a quiz on this skill on Friday.  Students who need additional practice after the test will be assigned a review packet.
