Brooks Biography Project
In this project you will research and write about a historical figure who changed the world. You will be able to select your person, but Mr. Brooks must confirm your choice. Because all choices must be historical and have changed the world, most entertainers and athletes are not available to research. You will use the rest of this form to help you in your research
Sources- Everyone will use three sources for their research. Everyone will use a physical book, the website Grolier Encyclopedia/physical encyclopedia, and the website FindingDulcinea. When doing research, it is important to write down where you get your information

Mr. Hinkle's Literature Studies Project
Censorship Research Project
Many authors have published books that have been banned from libraries, book stores, schools and entire communities. You will randomly draw the name of an author that has had one or more of their books banned and research and document the circumstances of the controversy. You will prepare a presentation for the class about your author.
1. Write a brief biography of the author. No more than one page to give your reader a sense of who they are and when/where they grew up.
2. Describe the controversy surrounding the book. Include the 5 Ws and H: WHO wanted it banned? WHAT was the book? WHEN was it banned? WHERE did this happen? WHY was it challenged? HOW was the controversy resolved? Was it resolved?
3. Your presentation must have visual aids. You can use PowerPoint or prepare poster board or presentation boards with pictures and documentation of your research.
