Welcome to Second Grade! Below you will find a list of school supplies that your child will need for the new school year. Since most supplies go on sale in August, I am posting the list now. That way your child can come prepared on the first day of school! I look forward to working with your child this year!

GOOD NEWS TO SHARE!!!!!!

The C-2 Second Grade All-Stars have been "adopted" by

for the second year in a row! eSurg is a local medical products company

(a division of the Henry Schein Company) located near Qwest Field.

What does this mean for your Second Grader?

Each new C-2 student will be receiving a BRAND NEW BACKPACK

(donated by eSurg) filled with school supplies on the first day of school!

In addition to the school supplies that eSurg is donating to each child, here are a few other items that your child will be needing:

REQUIRED SUPPLIES:

• Box of Kleenex tissue (which will be added to our classroom's supply for the year)

• Colored pencils (box of 12; suggested brand: Crayola)

• 1 box of Ziploc plastic bags, snack or sandwich size, if your child’s last name begins with A-M

• 1 box of Ziploc plastic bags, quart or gallon size, if your child’s last name begins with N-Z

• 1 ream (package) of plain white copy paper (unlined)

• 1 water bottle (no larger than 16 ounces in size)

• 2 packages of "sticky" notes (any brand or size, lined or unlined)

PLEASE DO NOT BRING THESE ITEMS TO SCHOOL:

• Mechanical pencils

• Hand-held pencil sharpeners (Please keep the one that eSurg will be giving to your child at home.)

• Three-ring binders

• Toys
