Homework

There will be homework assigned each night. If a student has
an excused absence they will be given the number of days they
were excused to make up the work. For example: if they missed
three school days they will have three school days to make up
the work. If the absence is unexcused they will not be able to
make up the work. This is the school's policy and I am required
to follow it.

Late work

I will accept late work up to one week past the due date although
the score will be reduced by ten percent each day. If a student is
having difficulty with an assignment they may come in for help before
or after school. If they have not completed the assignment within
a week of the due date it is considered to be too late for credit.

Absences

When a student is absent they will have the number of days they
will have the number of days they were gone to make up the work
for full credit. The decrease in credit for late work will begin
after they have had the designated number of make-up days. It is
student's responsibility to get the assignments they miss from the
board in the classroom. Assignments are left on the board for one
week.

Entry Tasks

An Entry Task is given at the beginning of each class session.
The students are given five minutes to complete a review question
from the previous day. The scoring is out of five points. The
student will receive three points for writing out the problem, four
points if they try the problems and have an incorrect answer, and
five points if their answer is correct. If a student is tardy or
not in class for discipline reasons they will receive a zero.
